Mama Kelce's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Donna Kelce’s cookies are unique in several ways, and are time consuming to make. The butter has to be melted a specific way in the microwave and then cooled, and the dough has to refrigerate for several hours.
✨First, she uses white and milk chocolate chips, specifically Ghirardelli, not semi-sweet. Pecans are optional, which I didn’t add, but apparently are a good addition to the cookie.
✨Cinnamon is added, which is a surprisingly but positive ingredient, and gives the cookies a warm flavor.
✨There are two types of flour used: All purpose and cake flour, so the cookies have a lighter texture.
✨ Lastly, Donna activates the baking soda in hot water first, which evenly distributes it, but also results in a chewier, flatter cookie, which is not usually my style of baking.
As a result, these cookies have a crunchy, caramelized outside, with a soft, chewy middle. Still delicious, but very different than the OG cookies!!
